Robyn & Matt’s colourful Ottawa Rowing Club Wedding
Robyn and Matt had an amazing, colourful Ottawa Rowing Club Wedding this July. I think it may have been one of my only sunny weekends of the year! Which worked out perfectly – because these two planned an outdoor wedding on the water.
Matt is from New Zealand, Robin is from Ottawa, the met in India and now live in the UK. They’re a truly international couple, so of course I knew this wedding would be all kinds of fun.
They did a first look in confederation park – where they got engaged. We then wandered through downtown for some portraits. After our walk through downtown, they had a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the terrace of the Ottawa Rowing club – with incredible views of the Ottawa River. (Really – how many venues in the middle of a city can boast views like that?).
Their reception was casual and included their family and friends from all over the world. They opted to have a cocktail-style reception with their favourite foods, which were inspired by their travels: The caterers handed out different dishes like a small bowl of curry for India and mini fish & chip plates for the UK.
Their wedding was stress free, full of laughs and easy going: It was perfectly them and I’m so glad I was there to document it for them. Thank-you Robyn & Matt.
Here’s to your next adventure! x
