Ottawa Arboretum Engagement | Christina & Lucas
Christina and Lucas and their Ottawa Arboretum Engagement was one of my favourites. I loved spending the evening exploring the Arboretum with these two and chatting. Let’s just say if their wedding is half as incredible as their engagement photos, it will be amazing. Without further ado, Christina & Lucas:
And some Creative Engagement Photos to finish:
Christina and Lucas wanted to add a fun and creative portion to the end of their engagement photos. They wanted something colourful and first thought of paint, but I suggested some Holi Powder (That beautiful colourful powder used in Holi, a spring festival known as the “festival of colours” celebrated all across India). I had never done this before, but I thought it would be a lot of fun to photograph. Anyway – I was right. (I don’t know if they had more fun or if I did!) Either way, I love the photos – they turned out candid and colourful and they were a great contrast to the posed photos from earlier. And I only got a little bit of blue on myself by the end of the shoot (Ha!)
Also – these two were dedicated: they made the powder themselves! I believe you can buy it online, but if you’re interested, I found this recipe online here.
Ps. The Arboretum is one of my favourite spots in Ottawa for engagement photos. It’s a spot I recommend to clients often! So if anyone else wants to explore the pink blossoms and is thinking of an Ottawa Arboretum engagement session, I will happy oblige! If you’re planning you’re photos for the spring, May is always a beautiful month here. You can check out another May engagement with the blossoms here.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re interested in an Ottawa Arboretum Engagement shoot, and I’m happy to recommend some incredible spots like this one.
