When I look back on Shannie and Matt’s beautiful Iron Horse Ranch wedding, I can remember the amazing details, the beautiful setting, and a gorgeous sunny day – but what stands out the most is my memory of the two of them smiling ear-to-ear all day. I don’t remember either one of them seeming stressed or nervous. Instead, they both seemed to soak in the day – enjoying every moment.
Shannie should be a wedding planner. From the horse shoe wedding favours to custom wooden signs, this girl had every beautiful detail in place. She knew how she wanted her wedding to look and you could tell. It was a beautiful day at a beautiful venue. After attending this wedding, I would absolutely love to shoot another Iron Horse Ranch wedding. What a gorgeous location!
I started my day by hanging out with her and her bridesmaids at the big, bright home on the ranch. They had snacks and champagne and while enjoying the sun. With beautiful, smiley bridesmaids, bright windows, and a gorgeous farmhouse, I got tons of great candid shots. The relaxed atmosphere was an amazing start to the day.
The groomsmen arrived for the ceremony. They seemed just as relaxed as the girls had been that morning and greeted the guests with big smiles and bigger hugs.
Following the ceremony, I wandered the grounds of the ranch with the wedding party, taking portraits of the group. They were such a hilarious bunch and an incredible group to take candid shots of as they all couldn’t stop laughing – which made my job super easy. 🙂
During the reception, I noticed a beautiful sunset and snuck Shannie and Matt outside the barn to take a few portraits before the sun dipped below the horizon. These turned out to be some of my favourite photos of the day.
Hope you enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed this wedding. And I know I may have said it one too many times, but honestly – from the early morning to the end of the night, this wedding was one of the most beautiful I had ever seen.
